Intel Romley Platform

Intel are poised to release the new generation of Server platform, code-named “Romley”, with C3 Group recently attending a Intel technical briefing regarding the new platform.

The new platform features Intel’s new Xeon E5 chips and an embedded or modular 10 Gigabit Ethernet “LAN-on-Motherboard” (LOM) device. The Romley platform offers a significant processing power increase over the current generation of Server platforms, as well as faster interconnects and more I/O. In layman’s terms, it will mean that C3 clients get more “back for their buck”, and will further allow for cost & power saving technology, such as virtualisation, to be included in the IT solutions we architect for clients.

If you would like further information on the Server platforms offered by C3 Group, or any other products or services that we offer, please don’t hesitate to contact us today.
